Deepening & VISION-FAST EVENTS

When collectively practiced with clear intent, we can touch the field, open to reflections, see, hear and find ourselves in each other’s stories, venture deeper than before.
5-day Council/Circle work,
stand alone or included in the full 10-day Vision-fast
A Deepening is offered to those who are committed to carry the practice of circle work, whether Way of Council or some other ‘Way’, and or to those embarking on a longer time to fast. Our questions are the leaders, the encounters in our work the material from which we will draw, and from there, collectively explore.
As guides and participants in both Deepening and the full fast, we will encounter –
• Mindfulness
– A marking of the path along on the way
• Deepening cohesion in circle practice
– The how and the why using the material our experience has brought
• Sitting with the shadows
– Finding and offering the gift that we may not recognise
• Yarning the thread that reaches forward
– Creating an intention forward, beyond the circle
• Nature Solo Time
• Dreams
• Bodywork
• Social Meditation…
10-day Vision-fast
For those going deeper into some days of fasting, our council Deepening will act as the Severance and first part of the three-stage process of a Vision-Fast, preparing us to be well in our second stage or Threshold, (solo time and actual fast), then to return into the final and important Incorporation stage, again in group process.
Elements:
- Time spent in circle, in witness to each of our current story and focus
- Taking a walk to open and cross a first threshold
- Fasting/solo time (length to be agreed with each before we meet) Time away from the usual comforts, food, company, media and phones etc.
- Returning to and working our deeper intentions in group support process
Pre-requisites:
- Places are limited – please confirm your place with a deposit on sign-up below
- Participants must have either a council experience or some regular circle experience;
The program will be given in English with translation if necessary by the group.
Guideline Costs: include Guide’s expenses, tutoring, facilitation and guidance, use of the land/facilities. The sliding scale exists for those unable to pay in full, or on low wage to find ones level of exchange. A reduced bursary can be provided for Portuguese youth on sufficient sign-ups at full cost.
Deepening – €300–400
Deepening into Vision Fast – €450–550
Food and accommodation
To keep costs low, camping facilities are included in the exchange provided you bring your own tent/bedding/campervan, food and some materials; tarp and rope etc, details provided on sign-up
– food is prepared by participants in the camp kitchen
